Absolutely horrible experience. My friends had two evenings in Amsterdam and we wanted to go somewhere nice. Since we didn't get a table at the De Belhamel, we decided to goo to this place in stead and since the reviews were so good I thought we were safe. The waiter was stressed, and splashed wine everywhere. Threw the neighbor tables table clots in the corner, forgot to poor up wine in glasses. Forgot part of our meal, and came later with some disgusting pieces of duck that looked like they had been cooked frozen and that was not possible to eat, they tasted so bad. Every dish had salad leaves and tasted like it came from a tube. (The main dish was ok though, but I have gotten better at diners by the road). The bread was just thrown around on the table, the whole experience was surreal. When he asked us about our first dish, my friend said that it wasn't really very good, because I gauged when I tasted the duck pate and the pieces of duck that had been cooked frozen tasted really bad. He just ignored this and rushed away with our dishes. I have never had a worse experience at a restaurant, it was beneath average "ok". But since everything was so crazy we just went along with it and decided to have a good time. New message: nobody removed us and we didn't steal anything! This is the way they keep their good score...We paid about about 80 euro each!!! and even came back because we forgot or umbrellas. So its not very likely that we stole anything! This is an absolute scam and this comment under says it all! The "stolen wine" he is referring to is probably the wine that was priced to 25 euros in the menu, but that he demanded 40 euros for on the bill. After having experienced this terrible service and food my friend understandable wanted to pay the price in the menu, and we did not tip, something that made him just throw the receipt on the table and rush off again. We ended up paying the price in the menu, but we were absolutely not thrown out, wy would we? We are well behaved grown up, kind people, and we had two glasses of wine each. After paying the bill we got our coats by our self and left laughing.
